Antonov Logistics Salis GmbH to Construct Aircraft Maintenance Hangar in Leipzig

Antonov Logistics Salis GmbH, a subsidiary of Antonov State Enterprise, has initiated the construction of an aircraft maintenance hangar at Leipzig Airport (LEJ) in Germany. This facility, which is part of the company’s efforts to service cargo air transportation under the NATO program, represents a significant investment in the region’s aerospace infrastructure.

Following the full-scale Russian aggression in Ukraine, Antonov Airlines has shifted its primary operations to Leipzig Airport, making it a crucial hub for the company’s activities. The construction of the new hangar is expected to enhance the company’s capacity to maintain and service a wide range of aircraft, supporting both commercial and military operations.

The project is a testament to Antonov State Enterprise’s strategic focus on expanding its operational footprint in Europe, particularly in countries that are key NATO partners. The establishment of this maintenance facility underscores the company’s commitment to ensuring the reliability and readiness of its aircraft fleet in the current geopolitical climate.
