Russia Revives ‘Black Transplantology’ Disinformation Campaign in Ukraine

According to the latest report from the Center for Countering Disinformation (CCD), Russia has intensified its efforts to spread disinformation about the so-called ‘black transplantology’ in Ukraine. This campaign involves the dissemination of false information suggesting that Ukrainian medical institutions are involved in unethical medical experiments, including the use of human organs for transplant purposes. CCD has highlighted this as part of a broader pattern of Russian disinformation strategies aimed at undermining trust in Ukrainian institutions and dehumanizing its citizens.

Such disinformation campaigns are designed to manipulate public perception and create fear and distrust. The CCD has emphasized that these efforts are not only a violation of international norms but also a direct threat to the credibility of Ukrainian healthcare systems and the rights of its citizens. The organization has called for increased transparency and counter-narratives to combat the spread of these false claims.
