The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine has announced plans to launch a ‘zero course’ program for students who failed the national multi-subject test (NMT). According to a report by Oksen Lisovy, this initiative is intended to provide additional preparation for those who did not meet the required standards in the test. The NMT, a comprehensive assessment of students’ knowledge in multiple subjects, has been a critical gateway to higher education in Ukraine.
The ‘zero course’ will reportedly be designed to help failing students consolidate their knowledge and improve their academic performance. The ministry emphasized that this measure is part of broader efforts to ensure fair and equitable access to higher education. The program is expected to be implemented in the upcoming academic year, with details on eligibility and course structure still under development.
