Cleveland Browns fan and content creator Jake Paul has publicly expressed his support for fifth-round draft pick Shedeur Sanders to serve as the team’s starting quarterback for the upcoming NFL season.
Paul, who has previously considered switching his fandom to the Cincinnati Bengals due to the Browns’ recent struggles, remains a loyal supporter of his hometown team, advocating for a younger, more dynamic quarterback. While the Browns have opted for Joe Flacco as their starting quarterback, Paul argues that Sanders, despite his late selection, should be given the chance to lead the team, emphasizing his unique skill set and potential for growth.
Sanders was widely regarded to be a first-round pick, perhaps even in the top five, at the time of the draft. However, an unprecedented slide saw him taken in the fifth round. Presently, he is the third quarterback on the depth chart, even behind fellow rookie Dillon Gabriel.
One of Sanders’ bugaboos has been holding onto the ball for too long, but Paul thinks he has another skill that can make him the Browns’ main guy.
