X Square Robot has unveiled Quanta X2, a highly advanced robotic butler designed for dexterity and versatility, alongside Wall-OSS, an open-source AI model that enables robots to adapt to unpredictable real-world tasks. The company’s latest launch marks a significant step toward creating robots that can perform a wide range of household and workplace tasks, such as cleaning, serving, and more complex operations.
Quanta X2 stands at approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs around 210 pounds, equipped with 62 degrees of freedom for smooth, lifelike motion. Its seven-degree-of-freedom robotic arm, paired with dexterous hands that can sense pressure changes, allows for delicate movements. The robot can grip, clean, and even express emotions through gestures. A modular clamp system enables it to attach brushes or mop heads for 360-degree cleaning, with an arm reach of 30 inches and a payload capacity of about 13 pounds, suitable for both home and industrial settings.
Complementing Quanta X2 is Wall-OSS, a groundbreaking open-source embodied AI model trained on vision-language-action data. This model helps robots
