Attendees from across the country are mourning Charlie Kirk at his memorial service, with many saying his Christian movement and legacy will continue to inspire others. Thousands of faith leaders and followers gathered at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, to celebrate the life and legacy of Charlie Kirk on Sunday, Sept. 21. The event, described as the largest gathering for the gospel ever, drew attention from around the world.

Lucas Miles, executive director of Turning Point USA, highlighted the significance of the gathering, stating that it was a historic day for the kingdom of God. He emphasized that the gospel would go out today more than ever before, just as Charlie Kirk would have wanted. Miles noted that Kirk’s impact extended beyond politics, as he was a Christian who died a martyr for his faith.

Christian musicians performed worship songs, with attendees singing along, creating an atmosphere of devotion. Erika Kirk, Charlie’s wife, inspired Christian staff to remain rooted in faith as the memorial service unfolded. Attendees held up posters of Charlie Kirk in red, white, and blue, showing their admiration and commitment to his vision.

William Wolfe, executive director of the Center for Baptist Leadership, echoed the sentiment of Department of Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, stating that Kirk started a political movement but ended it as a Christian one. Wolfe emphasized that Kirk’s legacy includes bringing young people into conservative politics and reintegrating them into the faith. He noted that Kirk’s influence made it ‘cool to be Christian again,’ sparking a revival among younger generations.

Many attendees expressed their feelings, with Sandy of San Diego stating that Kirk was a man of God and that the event showed the enduring voice of his movement. Barbara of Toledo, Ohio, believed the Spirit of Jesus was present and that a global revival was on the horizon as people picked up the banner Charlie Kirk held. Overall, the memorial service was seen as a powerful celebration of Kirk’s faith and his lasting impact on those who followed him.
