The Automotive Market Research Institute reports that Ukraine’s passenger electric vehicle (EV) segment reached 12,100 units in September 2025, marking a 90% increase compared to September 2024. The growth rate also surpassed the previous month’s 5.9% rise, suggesting a significant uptick in EV adoption within the country.
Experts attribute this surge to a combination of factors including government incentives, increasing consumer awareness of environmental benefits, and the growing availability of EV models in the Ukrainian market.
Industry analysts suggest that the rise in EV sales could signal a long-term shift in Ukraine’s automotive consumption patterns. However, they also note that challenges such as infrastructure development and charging station availability may impact future growth rates.
