Escalating Leftist Violence and Political Tensions as Trump’s Second Term Progresses
Tensions are rising as leftist violence surges during President Donald Trump’s second term, with incidents ranging from the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk to anti-ICE attacks and the controversial support of criminal gang members. The Democratic Party’s fragmented response to Trump’s policies has drawn increased scrutiny, both from the right and within its own ranks.
The nation was rocked by the sudden murder of 31-year-old husband, father and conservative activist Charlie Kirk on Sept. 10. Video of the assassination circulated widely online minutes after Kirk was shot through the neck while speaking at a Turning Point USA event at Utah Valley University.
