Exclusive: 1,076 Cubans Identified Fighting for Russia, 96 Dead or Missing

Ukraine has confirmed the identification of 1,076 Cuban nationals who are currently fighting for Russia, with 36 of them reported dead or missing. According to Ukrainian military sources, these individuals were reportedly trained for just two weeks at the Avangard training center located in Moscow Oblast before being sent to the front lines.

Although the Cuban government has not yet issued an official statement, diplomatic channels have been advised to prepare for potential inquiries from Cuban officials regarding the situation. The situation has raised concerns about the involvement of foreign nationals in the ongoing conflict and the potential for further escalations.

Analysts suggest that the involvement of Cuban fighters in the conflict may be linked to longstanding political and military ties between the two countries. However, the exact motivations behind their participation remain unclear. The Ukrainian military has called for increased international attention to the issue, emphasizing the risks faced by these individuals and the potential implications for regional stability.
