An all-female repair business has emerged in China, challenging long-standing gender norms in a society where traditional roles are still deeply ingrained. The business, which specializes in home maintenance and repair services, is gaining traction as it caters to an increasing number of single women who seek both convenience and comfort in their living spaces. These women, often from urban areas and with busy lifestyles, are finding new value in having female technicians who understand their unique needs and preferences.
Ray Hou, one of the co-founders of the business, explained that she left her corporate job to pursue this new career path. Her decision came from a desire to break away from the confines of the traditional office environment and to create a space where women could feel empowered and in control.
