As the wife of Super Bowl champion wide receiver Phillip Dorsett, Moriah Dorsett has had a front-row seat to the unique challenges and rewards that come with life in the NFL. Having watched her husband move between eight different teams, including two separate stints with the Seattle Seahawks and the Las Vegas Raiders, she has become a self-proclaimed ‘professional mover’ in the process.
Dorsett, a first-round pick of the Indianapolis Colts in 2015, has experienced the rollercoaster nature of NFL careers firsthand. His journey has taken him to the New England Patriots, where he won a Super Bowl title in 2018, to the Jacksonville Jaguars, Houston Texans, and Denver Broncos, among others. Despite the frequent relocations, Dorsett has remained a part of the league, though he has not played in a regular-season game since 2023.
When Moriah Dorsett opened up to People about the experience, she shared how the constant moves have impacted their family life. While the relocations have been challenging, she noted that they have also allowed the family to explore new cities and cultures, something she never imagined at the start of their journey. “I like to consider myself a professional mover at this point now,” she told the outlet. “The first time when we moved from Indy to New England, the team had handled it for us. And then after that, all the other moves, that was all me trying to get everything together.” She also mentioned that she now waits to see how each season progresses before deciding to move again, as she witnessed with her husband’s last trade to the Denver Broncos just five days before the season started.
Despite the logistical and emotional challenges, Dorsett remains optimistic about making the Las Vegas Raiders’ main roster. His career has been marked by perseverance, with 151 catches for 2,012 yards and 12 touchdowns in 94 career games. While the future remains uncertain, his story highlights the personal costs of a football career, from the demands of the sport to the toll of constant relocation. For Moriah Dorsett, the journey has been a mix of struggle and adventure, a testament to both the challenges and rewards of life in the NFL.
