Trump Administration Urges Democrats to ‘Stop Siding with Illegal Aliens’ After Activist Rams ICE in Sanctuary City

The Trump administration has called on Democrats to ‘stop siding with illegal aliens’ following a violent incident in Los Angeles where an activist rammed ICE agents during an arrest attempt, prompting officers to fire shots. Homeland Security Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin told Fox News Digital that the incident underscored the impact of sanctuary city rhetoric and urged politicians to restrain the call for resistance against immigration enforcement.

The 44-year-old Mexican illegal immigrant, Carlitos Ricardo Parias, known as ‘Richard LA’ on TikTok, rammed the law enforcement vehicle, resulting in injuries to both him and a U.S. Marshals officer. While both are recovering, McLaughlin emphasized the need for sanctuary politicians and activists to curb rhetoric encouraging illegal aliens to evade arrest.

Critics, including California Governor Gavin Newsom, accuse the Trump administration of orchestrating a mass deportation effort that jeopardizes public safety and due process. A spokesperson for Newsom told Fox News Digital that ‘President Trump and [White House Homeland Security Advisor] Stephen Miller are trying to orchestrate the largest deportation effort in history, disregarding due process and even the safety of U.S. citizens and law enforcement.’ The spokesperson further accused the administration of using fear and force as a PR campaign, creating chaos and blaming others for the actions of law enforcement.

The White House spokeswoman Abigail Jackson responded by stating that ‘ICE Officers are facing a 1000% increase in assaults because of unhinged rhetoric from activists and Democrat politicians smearing heroic ICE officers.’ She added that ‘Democrats must stop siding with illegal aliens over American law enforcement,’ highlighting the ongoing political tensions over immigration policy and enforcement priorities.
