Demi Moore revealed that Tom Cruise felt ’embarrassed’ and ‘awkward’ during the filming of ‘A Few Good Men’ in 1992 while she was eight months pregnant. The actress shared these comments during a Q&A session at the New Yorker Festival on Saturday. Moore, who was pregnant with her second child, Scout Willis, at the time, said that Cruise’s discomfort may have been due to the societal expectations of the time, which pressured women to choose between a career and family. She noted that she felt ‘OK’ about the situation but could sense Cruise’s discomfort. Moore also spoke about the physical challenges of preparing for her role as a Navy lawyer while pregnant, including the demands of working out and maintaining her fitness level despite her condition. She described how she did a two-and-a-half-hour hike the day her water broke and even danced at a reggae club, which led to her daughter’s early birth. Moore also shared her experiences with fame, explaining how it has put her ‘through the wringer’ and how she has evolved into a more kind and intuitive relationship with her body. She noted that while she sometimes looks in the mirror and feels self-conscious, she now accepts that her body’s appearance does not define her value or identity.
