Glen Powell’s Stunt Scene on ‘The Running Man’ Goes Viral for Unexpected Reasons

Glen Powell recently shared an embarrassing wardrobe malfunction during a stunt scene on the set of his latest film, ‘The Running Man.’ While talking about the incident on Entertainment Tonight’s ‘Spilling the E-Tea,’ Powell revealed that he was naked during a rappelling sequence. He described the situation with a towel and a pouch underneath, which he called a ‘marble sack.’ The unexpected moment was made even more awkward when he realized there were people in the window watching the stunt.

His co-star, Josh Brolin, couldn’t help but poke fun at him, mimicking his position as he rappelled down the building. Powell admitted he regretted the decision to film the scene in February in Bulgaria, where the cold weather made the situation even more challenging. The film is set to hit theaters on November 7th.

Powell discussed the scene during an interview with Entertainment Weekly, saying he loved the idea of the scene because he ‘found it very, very funny, and something that I’ve never seen in a movie before.’ He admits, however, that when it came time to film, he ‘regretted agreeing to it.’ The actor had his big break in the industry in 2022, when he starred alongside Tom Cruise in ‘Top Gun: Maverick,’ followed by his roles in ‘Hit Man’ and ‘Anyone But You,’ the latter earning him a Golden Globe nomination.

After starring in ‘Anyone But You,’ rumors about a romantic connection between Powell and his co-star Sydney Sweeney intensified, especially after Sweeney broke off her engagement and attended Powell’s sister’s wedding in March. Despite the rumors, Sweeney clarified that there was no intentional leaning in, as the tabloids and journalists created the narrative themselves. The film ‘The Running Man’ is set to hit theaters on November 7th.
