Titans Rookie Cam Ward Earns Endorsement from NFL Vet Dre’Mont Jones

NFL veteran Dre’Mont Jones publicly endorsed Tennessee Titans rookie quarterback Cam Ward following Ward’s trade to the Baltimore Ravens, praising his potential as a future star.

Jones, who joined the Titans in the offseason from the Seattle Seahawks, played only nine games for the team before the trade. The Ravens and Titans finalized the deal ahead of the NFL’s trade deadline on Tuesday.

Jones shared his thoughts on social media, expressing gratitude for his time with the Titans and optimism about Ward’s future.

“The NFL is too crazy lol. Thank you Titans family I loved and appreciated my short time in Nashville too much. Cam is the truth too y’all give ‘em time, he can be great!” he wrote on X.

“I’m ready to be Raven rocking that purple and black!”

Ward, the Heisman Trophy winner, has struggled through his first year as the Titans’ starting quarterback, but his performance has shown promise amid growing pains. The Titans selected him with the No. 1 overall pick and gave him the starting nod after Will Levis’ season-ending surgery.

With 1,760 passing yards, five touchdown passes, and six interceptions this season, the Titans are 1-8 so far. Meanwhile, Jones joins a Ravens team in need of defensive reinforcements, as Baltimore ranks 24th in points allowed and 27th in yards allowed.

Jones’ 4.5 sacks and 26 total tackles this season highlight his value, and his move to the Ravens could provide much-needed depth to their defense.
