Students from New York University, Columbia, and other prominent institutions in New York City have raised alarm over the presence of professors who they claim are promoting extremist views that contribute to an antisemitic environment on campus. In exclusive interviews with Fox News Digital, Jewish students from NYU, Columbia, Barnard, and Baruch Colleges described how some professors have created a hostile climate, often by expressing strong anti-Israel positions or displaying pro-Palestine messages in their offices. These students allege that the presence of such professors has led to a situation where Jewish students feel unsafe and targeted.
According to the students, some professors have engaged in behaviors that exacerbate tensions, including yelling at students, refusing to support them, and creating a sense of intimidation. Eliana Birman of Barnard highlighted that professors in some cases have openly displayed pro-Palestine signs, contributing to an environment where Jewish students are often made to feel unwelcome.
