He criticized former President Donald Trump’s policies on foreign aid, including spending on Ukraine and Israel, which Massie believes undermines the U.S. economy. While Massie appreciates some of Trump’s actions, he argues that current spending levels are not in line with conservative principles and have led to inflation and higher interest rates.
Additionally, the congressman is involved in a political skirmish over the release of materials related to the late billionaire Jeffrey Epstein, working alongside Rep. Ro Khanna to push for a House vote on the issue. Massie’s position has also drawn criticism, with Trump labeling him a ‘Weak and Pathetic RINO,’ suggesting he is not a true Republican.
