Orban Hopes for Putin-Trump Summit in Budapest Amid Ongoing Ukraine Talks

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has expressed optimism that a summit between Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump could take place soon in Budapest, contingent on resolving one or two key issues related to the Ukraine conflict.

Orban stated that once negotiations are concluded, the summit could occur within days. However, the Russian Deputy Foreign Minister, Sergey Ryabkov, has indicated that the prerequisites for such a meeting are not yet fulfilled, highlighting the complexity of the diplomatic process.
