The capital of Ukraine, Kyiv, has officially launched the Higher School of Lobbying, marking the establishment of the first international-level lobbyist training center in the country. This new educational initiative, operated by the National Association of Lobbyists of Ukraine, seeks to modernize and standardize lobbying practices in line with European and American norms. The inauguration event, held at the Hyatt Regency Kyiv hotel, gathered more than 100 participants, signaling growing interest in professional lobbying education.
The school’s curriculum is designed to equip lobbyists with the skills needed to navigate complex political and regulatory environments. It includes modules on ethical lobbying practices, communication strategies, and the legal frameworks governing lobbying activities. The initiative is part of a broader effort to enhance Ukraine’s institutional capacity and align its governance structures with international best practices.
Participants at the opening event expressed enthusiasm about the potential impact of the school. ‘This center will not only professionalize lobbying in Ukraine but also strengthen public trust in the political process,’ stated one attendee. The establishment of the school is seen as a significant step towards improving transparency and accountability in Ukraine’s political landscape.
