The Buffalo Bills have reportedly signed wide receiver Mecole Hardman, a Super Bowl LVIII hero, to their practice squad as they aim to strengthen their receiving unit after a dismal 30-13 loss to the Miami Dolphins.
Hardman, who caught the game-winning touchdown from Patrick Mahomes in overtime to beat the San Francisco 49ers, had been on the Green Bay Packers’ practice squad but was cut in September. The Bills, who did not make any trades at the deadline to bolster quarterback Josh Allen’s perimeter options, are now looking to leverage Hardman’s experience and playmaking ability.
The decision comes as the Bills’ current wide receiver corps, including Keon Coleman and Khalil Shakir, have failed to elevate their games to become a true No. 1 wide receiver. With their record now at 6-3 following the loss, the Bills will face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in their next game.
