Ukraine and OACPS to Enhance Cooperation on Food Security

Ukraine and the Organisation of African, Caribbean and Pacific States (OACPS) have agreed to strengthen cooperation in the field of food security. This decision was announced following a meeting between Ukraine’s Deputy Minister of Economy, Taras Vysotsky, and OACPS Secretary General Moussa S. Batraki, which took place in Belgium. The agreement reflects a growing commitment to addressing global food security challenges by sharing resources and knowledge.

The partnership is expected to facilitate better access to agricultural technologies and market information for both regions. This collaboration is part of broader efforts to stabilize food supply chains, which have been impacted by recent geopolitical tensions and climate-related disruptions. The move is seen as a significant step toward improving food security for millions of people across Africa, the Caribbean, and the Pacific.
