WNBA Star Natasha Cloud Calls for Trump’s Impeachment After U.S. Strikes on Iranian Nuclear Facilities

WNBA star Natasha Cloud, a former Washington Mystics forward and three-time All-Defense Team member, has taken a public stance on the U.S. military’s recent strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities, calling for President Donald Trump’s impeachment. Cloud posted on X, stating, “A sad sad day,” and added, “Grounds for impeachment,” referring to Trump’s decision to order the attacks without congressional approval. The strikes, which targeted Iran’s Fordow, Nat, and Isfahan nuclear sites, were announced by Trump as a decisive move to curb Iran’s nuclear ambitions.

Cloud’s comments were in line with Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s criticism of Trump’s actions, which she retweeted. Ocasio-Cortez argued that the president’s decision violates the Constitution and Congressional War Powers, risking a prolonged global conflict. Cloud, who has previously spoken out against Trump’s policies, including the removal of DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) programs in the federal government, reiterated her belief that the country is prioritizing profit over people.

After the strikes, Cloud clarified her position on social media, stating that “people over profit” should be the nation’s focus. She also encouraged her followers to seek overseas media coverage of America’s situation, implying that the country’s issues are underreported in domestic outlets. Trump, in his remarks on Saturday night, claimed the strikes had “completely and totally obliterated” Iran’s nuclear facilities, warning of further attacks if Tehran does not comply with demands for peace.
