In a recent discovery, archaeologists have revealed a wealth of ancient artifacts from the Canaanite civilization at Tel Megiddo, the site known as Armageddon in the Book of Revelation. This site, which is referred to as ‘Har Megiddo’ in the Hebrew text, has long been of interest to historians and religious scholars. The recent findings, unearthed in the context of the construction of Highway 66 in the Jezreel Valley, are part of a larger excavation effort led by the Israel Antiquities Authority (IAA). These artifacts, which date back over 5,000 years, include a unique winepress and a range of ritual objects from the Canaanites, an ancient people mentioned in the Old Testament.
