Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko has announced that international partners have committed over EUR 22 million in contributions to the Shelter Coalition, a humanitarian initiative aimed at providing aid to displaced persons and vulnerable communities affected by the ongoing conflict. The announcement was made during a press briefing, highlighting the growing international support for Ukraine’s efforts to manage the humanitarian crisis.
According to Svyrydenko, the contributions will be used to expand the coalition’s operations, including the establishment of new shelters, the provision of essential supplies, and the facilitation of safe passage for displaced individuals. The funds will also support the coordination of aid distribution, ensuring that resources reach those in need efficiently. The coalition has been working closely with various international organizations and governments to coordinate these efforts.
The European Union and several other countries have been among the major contributors to the Shelter Coalition, demonstrating a unified front in supporting Ukraine’s humanitarian response.
