Trump Acknowledges U.S. Icebreaker Gap Against Russia

U.S. President Donald Trump has publicly acknowledged the United States’ significant disadvantage in icebreaker capabilities compared to Russia. The president highlighted that Russia operates 48 ice, whereas the U.S. currently has only one, calling the disparity ‘ridiculous.’ While Trump admitted the gap, he announced plans to address it by collaborating with Finland to build 11 icebreakers, with additional orders expected in the future.
