According to Cascade Systems, a prominent defense developer, their Lima strategic-level Electronic Warfare (EW) system has demonstrated considerable operational success in intercepting advanced Russian weaponry. The system, which was developed and finalized in 2022, represents a significant advancement in modern defensive technologies designed to counter sophisticated air threats. Cascade Systems reported that since the beginning of the current year, the Lima system has successfully accounted for the deflection of 26 Russian Kinzhal cruise missiles.
The capabilities of the Lima EW system are multi-faceted, allowing it to counter a wide array of threats that pose challenges to military installations. Specifically, it was developed to neutralize Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), such as the Shahed-136 and the Geran-2 systems, as well as guided aerial bombs (KABs). Furthermore, the system’s design allows it to effectively deflect aeroballistic missiles, ensuring a comprehensive layer of protection for its operational area.
