Iran’s Enriched Uranium ‘Missing’ Following US Strikes, Claims Hersh

More than 200kg of uranium enriched to 60% is ‘missing,’ according to Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Seymour Hersh. This discovery comes after the US strikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities, which reportedly failed to hit the country’s stockpile of highly enriched uranium. Hersh’s report highlights that the attack, involving seven B-2 bombers, did not succeed in targeting the uranium reserves. Officials suggest that the uranium may have been moved ahead of the strike, with the lack of radioactivity at sites like Fordow and Isfahan indicating its possible relocation. Although US officials claim that the attack dealt significant damage to other nuclear sites, some officials admit that the strikes may not have fully disrupted the Iranian nuclear program.
